I-Joist

Description

The I-joist is named after the shape of its profile, which resembles the letter 'I'. It is composed of two horizontal flanges in finger-jointed Spruce framing a central web in OSB3 or MFP P5, creating a structure that is both lightweight and strong. This design optimises mechanical and dimensional properties, making the joists easy to handle and install. They also allow easy machining and drilling for the integration of fluid and network systems, and offer an ideal space for insulation in high thermal performance constructions.
