Kapur is a South-East Asian hardwood that Guillemette & Cie imports from Indonesia and Malaysia. The manufacturer's data sheet directs it towards exterior joinery and lorry flooring, two applications that put a hardwood to work in demanding conditions. The merchant supplies it as sawn timber cut to order, the sections being prepared to order from the customer's requirement. The volumes come from sustainably managed forests, the company drawing on long practice with the species of the area to offer processed products at good value for money. FSC or PEFC certification concerns only batches identified as certified and is confirmed case by case, ahead of the order, without covering the whole range.
