Description
Water-based woodstain intended for the finishing and decorative protection of timber used in beekeeping. Applied to hives, supers and the other wooden parts of the apiary, it leaves the figure visible while forming a barrier against rain and sun, the two agents responsible for greying and surface checking. The product has been tested for bee compatibility and meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3 on the safety of toys, under Directive 2009/48/EC. Its strongly water-repellent character reduces moisture uptake by the wood and the UV filter limits fading of the colours. Application calls for about 160 ml/m² in two coats. The range is offered in 750 ml and 2.5 litre tins.
