Description
Maintenance oil formulated from natural oils and water, with added protective waxes, for finishing the timber of the apiary. It is suitable for hives, supers, bee houses and other wooden parts exposed to the weather. Its penetration into the substrate creates a velvety surface with a stained effect, with no film liable to flake and no blocking between adjoining parts. The resulting moisture regulation and the spread of the product make maintenance coats easier. The formulation has been tested for bee compatibility, meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3 on the safety of toys under Directive 2009/48/EC, and satisfies the award criteria of the German Blue Angel ecolabel DE-UZ 12a. Indicative coverage is between 120 and 160 ml/m² in two coats. Nine colours make up the range, in 0.75 and 2.5 litre tins.
