Varnishes
Description
Clear water-based protective varnish, intended for surface sealing of the feeders and feeding bags used in beekeeping, whether they are made of wood or of Styrofoam type expanded polystyrene. Applied inside the feeder, it shields the wall from the moisture of the syrup and from the soiling that goes with feeding, two frequent causes of premature deterioration of the equipment. Its bee compatibility has been verified and the formulation meets DIN EN 71-3 on the safety of toys, adopted under Directive 2009/48/EC. The varnish is strongly water-repellent and includes protection against ultraviolet radiation. Indicative coverage is around 160 ml/m² in two coats. Two pack sizes are offered: a 750 ml tin and a 2.5 litre tin.
