Description

The 250 GEL Optima is a Larenn vertical panel saw designed to reduce cutting effort: locking in the horizontal position is by a simple toggle lever and the plunge into the material is controlled from the panel or directly on the saw unit. The one-piece welded steel frame carries a 7.5 hp motor with electromagnetic brake and a 250 mm carbide blade turning at 4 500 rpm, for a cutting depth of 80 mm. Batten retraction is automatic, the intermediate rail folds over its full length, the repeat cutting stop reaches 650 mm and five stops preset the horizontal cuts. The Optima system picks up the sawdust behind the panel through four vertical ducts and one horizontal duct, with two 100 mm outlets to an external unit. Five cutting sizes run from 3 100 × 1 600 mm to 7 000 × 2 200 mm. Panel presence detectors, a two-speed motor, a frequency drive, blade lubrication and a grooving kit are available as options.
