Laser measurement & layout
Description
The Leica Lino P5-1 is a point laser intended for plumbing and positioning work. It projects five red beams pointing up, down, forwards, right and left, quickly transferring marks from one point to another. Levelling is automatic over a ±4° range: if the base tilts further, the instrument warns and stops emitting rather than delivering a false line. The lock function disables this levelling in order to project along a slope. The stated accuracy is ±0.2 mm per metre and the range reaches 30 m depending on the lighting. The compact housing, IP54 protected against dust and water, weighs 495 g and screws onto a 1/4 thread, an adapter allowing 5/8. It runs for up to 37 hours on three AA batteries, a Li-ion battery being offered as an option. The Disto Sketch app for iOS and Android comes with the instrument.
