Leitz flexTrim profile cutter

Description

Furniture manufacturers today handle a wide variety of edge bands, in terms of both types and thicknesses, with ever smaller batch sizes. The flexTrim profile cutter enables automatic profile changeover without changing the tool: different thicknesses and different profiles are processed in the same production cycle. The mechanism is reusable and the tool performs both longitudinal profiling and edge trimming. Radius combinations are custom-made up to 3 mm, with individual chamfers up to 45°. The cutting edge is diamond. The tool is designed for Homag individual flexTrim units; the flexTrim3 variant allows combining several tools working in climb and conventional cutting. It processes solid wood edge bands (hardwood or softwood) as well as wood-veneered or synthetic edge bands. It is available at short notice.
