Description
Diamond tools are essential for edge finishing, but their cost weighs heavily and each sharpening changes the diameter, therefore requiring machine readjustments. The ProfilCut Q Diamond system works at a constant diameter: it can be resharpened up to five times and goes back into production immediately, without any adjustment. The cost relative to the tool's service life drops by about 40% compared with disposable tools, with six tool lives per diamond knife. The tool body is reusable, which reduces material consumption. As the knives are interchangeable, the Leitz service can update profile variants at short notice. The system is intended for high-throughput edge banders and is available in different dimensions and profile configurations.
