Description
On finger-jointing lines with horizontal joints, the joint profiling requires flexibility, a high number of teeth, and precise finger-joint fitting. The TurboHawk finger-joint tool holder combines these three requirements. Its scalable design accepts edge cutters and is available in many combinations; the large number of teeth, achieved on a small diameter, enables high feed speeds. The constant diameter reduces machine setup times, and the resharpening area, significantly wider than on conventional tools, extends the tool’s service life. The Marathon coating quadruples service life compared with miniature HS cutters and reduces machine downtime and maintenance costs by around 75%. The cutting materials are HS and MC. The tool is suitable for standard horizontal finger-jointing lines in softwoods and hardwoods.
