Bio-based insulation
Description
Rigid wood fibre insulation panel produced at Küssnacht am Rigi, available in two densities. The 140 kg/m³ version shows a declared thermal conductivity of 0.040 W/(m·K), a compressive stress at 10% deformation of 100 kPa and a tensile strength perpendicular to the faces of 20 kPa. The 180 kg/m³ version rises to 0.043 W/(m·K), 150 kPa and 25 kPa. Both share a water vapour diffusion coefficient µ of 3, a specific heat capacity of 2 100 J/(kg·K) and class E to EN 13501. The panel is presented by the manufacturer as multi-purpose, for the roof, the walls and interior fit-out, with three declared applications: sarking, ventilated facade and rendered facade. The 140 is supplied in thicknesses from 40 to 200 mm, the 180 in 35, 40 and 60 mm, in working formats of 1 861 × 586 mm and 2 531 × 586 mm. Standard WF-EN 13171 designations in line with the product data sheets.
