Description
A versatile Brazilian species, Massaranduba is imported by Guillemette & Cie, which credits it with a wide field of use. The manufacturer's data sheet mentions in particular wood flooring, structural carpentry, railway sleepers, framing, boatbuilding, street furniture, hydraulic works and decking. This diversity makes it a timber sought after for structural works as well as for outdoor landscaping. It is supplied as sawn timber cut to order, each order being prepared to the required sections. Sourcing comes from sustainably managed forests, monitored with the company's partners. FSC or PEFC certification remains reserved for batches identified as certified and is confirmed at the time of order, without automatically extending to the whole range.
