Description
Mb Rock Fire + is a single-density stone wool board of high density, dedicated to the internal fire protection of the studs of a timber frame wall. Its density of 150 kg/m³ gives it the mechanical strength and fire stability needed to delay the heating of the loadbearing timber members behind the lining. It forms part of the ROCKWOOL solutions for timber frame walls, in addition to the standard insulation placed between the studs. The declared thermal conductivity λ is 0.038 W/(m·K), a value consistent with the density sought, and the product is non-combustible, Euroclass A1 for reaction to fire, with an A indoor air emissions rating. A single product code is catalogued, 50 mm thick in 1200 x 600 mm format, for a thermal resistance R of 1.3 m²·K/W.
