Kilns
Description
The Mühlböck Flow progressive kiln is a multi-zone drying channel that combines the flexibility of drying chambers with the advantages of continuous, automated loading. The timber is stacked on the trolleys at right angles to the direction of travel; once loaded, the trolley assembly is conveyed fully automatically, zone by zone, to the corresponding drying zone. Its main asset lies in the ability to stack timber of different lengths on the trolleys, while the drying zones are matched to the specific needs of each production run. This combination of great flexibility and strong drying capacity makes the system particularly versatile. The Flow progressive kiln is aimed at sawmills that want to combine continuous throughput with freedom of lengths, where a conventional progressive kiln would impose batches that are too uniform.
