Description
The Mühlböck Premium belt dryer aims at maximum thermal energy savings through a closed system of pre-drying, post-drying and heat recovery. In traditional belt dryers, the air drawn in is heated, guided over the product, then discharged while it is only partly saturated with moisture: part of the energy introduced is thus released unused, at the expense of efficiency. The Mühlböck 1003 Premium system, by contrast, makes use of that exhaust air to almost 100%: the exhaust vapour from the heated post-drying zone is fed back into the circuit to preheat and dry, which sharply reduces thermal consumption. Operating continuously, it dries sawmill by-products with high energy efficiency. The Premium is aimed at operations that want to minimise their heating bill on large continuous drying volumes.
