Oak Beam Grade QP1/A

Description

Grade QP1/A oak beams are squared pieces cut green, to order, from French logs that are mostly PEFC certified. The logs are debarked then cut into beams in rough lengths, packed into strapped bundles identified by a barcode label. Available from 1 to 10 m long, with depths and widths from 80 to 500 mm, they meet the European grading standard (grades Q-P A, Q-P 1 and mixed). For beams in the green state, delivery takes 2 to 3 weeks from order confirmation; a stock of pre-dried and air-dried beams is also available, already showing a grey-brown surface colour. These beams are used for new and traditional structures: civil works and roof structures, solid timber for half-timbering, cellars, stakes, fencing and street furniture. Acceptance and grading are carried out green, with a minimum volume of 5 m³ per thickness.
