Description
Oak FND strips are cut after drying from French logs that are mostly PEFC certified. The logs are sawn into boards, air-dried under cover then kiln-dried, before the strips are cut to the widths required, fixed from 40 to 240 mm, or to any width edged after drying. Cutting on dried timber ensures good straightness across the width, with no bow. Lengths are random: cross-cutting to length is done by the customer, which gives flexibility in stock management and in grade selection. The strips are made from grades QS1b to QS3, solid-piled, strapped, shrink-wrapped and identified by a barcode label. They suit kitchens, furniture, wood flooring, glulam and three-ply for joinery. The minimum volume is 100 pieces per size.
