Oak Square-Edged Board Grade QB1

Description

Grade QB1 covers French oak square-edged boards of BME "Fine Joinery and Cabinetmaking" quality, mostly PEFC certified. The boards are cut after the boule has been dried, on profiled anti-stain stickers, which guarantees good straightness across the width with no bow. The quality complies with the European grading standard: sound knots of 5 to 25 mm are permitted, up to the equivalent of one knot under 50 mm per notional 0.20 m × 2 m rectangle. The square-edged boards, available in clear lengths of over 2 m, are made up into strapped packs identified by a barcode label. This grade suits joinery and furniture. Acceptance and grading are carried out green, with a minimum volume of 5 m³ per thickness.
