Description
Grade QBA consists of French oak square-edged boards, mostly PEFC certified, corresponding to cabinetmaking quality (Eb). The boules are dried on profiled anti-stain stickers, then edged after drying to the sizes required. Cutting on dry timber gives the square-edged boards good straightness across the width, with no bow. The light colour comes from the selection of the forest areas of origin. The square-edged boards are made up into packs, strapped and identified by a barcode label. This grade suits staircase making (strings), fit-out (cornices) and furniture calling for large pieces. The quality complies with the European hardwood grading standard EN 975-1. Acceptance and grading are carried out green, with a minimum volume of 5 m³ per thickness.
