Oak Square-Edged Strip Grade QF2/3

Description

Grade QF2/3 offers green-cut oak square-edged boards in strip form, from French logs that are mostly PEFC certified. The pieces are cut to order, in widths rising in 20 mm steps and in thicknesses to order. In line with the European hardwood grading standard, this grade mixes qualities QF2 and QF3: sound knots of 12 to 40 mm are permitted on 90 % of the pieces. Slight distortion is permitted during pre-drying or drying. The square-edged boards are packed on stickers or solid-piled, strapped and identified by a barcode label. This product is intended mainly for cladding, decking boards, roof boarding, traditional exposed-joist ceilings and landscaping edging, as well as wood flooring. Kiln drying and heat treatment (BMT thermally modified timber) are offered as options.
