Description
Grade QP1 oak "switch and crossing timbers" are squared pieces cut green, to order, from French logs that are mostly PEFC certified. The logs are debarked then cut into sleepers in rough lengths, packed into strapped bundles identified by a barcode label. Available from 2.60 to 6 m, in sections of 150 × 260 mm and 160 × 260 mm and others to order, they meet the European grading standard. Wane is permitted, such as a 210 mm exposed width on one face for a 260 mm width. For sleepers in the green state, delivery takes 2 to 3 weeks from order confirmation; a stock of air-dried sleepers is also available. This product is intended for railway infrastructure. Acceptance and grading are carried out green, with a minimum volume of 5 m³ per thickness.
