Oak Unedged Board Grade QS2

Description

The selected unedged boards of Grade QS2, known as MO "Standard Joinery", come from French oak logs, mostly PEFC certified, debarked and sawn into unedged boards. Eurochene's QS2 is equivalent to the standard but tolerates one knot per linear metre that is sometimes a little larger. The light colour comes from the selection of the forest areas of origin. The timber is offered green, air-dried under cover or kiln-dried, and stored on dried profiled stickers to keep staining under control. The packs are strapped and identified by a barcode label. This grade suits the making of pieces under 1.20 m long, furniture and kitchens, for finishes that bring out the even colour and the grain of the oak. Acceptance and grading are carried out green, with a minimum volume of 5 m³ per thickness.
