Oak Unedged Board Grades QSA and QS1

Description

The selected unedged boards of Grades QSA and QS1 come from French oak logs, mostly PEFC certified, debarked and sawn into unedged boards. The two grades are mixed so as to achieve more consistent parcels and a high proportion of knot-free boards, in line with the European grading standard. The light colour comes from the selection of the forest areas of origin. The timber is offered green, air-dried under cover or kiln-dried, and stored on dried profiled stickers to keep staining under control. The packs are strapped and identified by a barcode label. Easy to handle and to store, these boards suit joinery, furniture and long-length wood flooring, as well as series production. Acceptance and grading are carried out green, with a minimum volume of 5 m³ per thickness.
