Owatrol D1 Marine Grade Clear Hardwood Saturator

Description

Clear matt wood saturator formulated for dense, oily species that are hard to impregnate. It penetrates deeply without forming a surface film, which rules out any risk of flaking and allows later refurbishment without blasting or sanding. Being clear, it does not mask the grain and stabilises the wood right through. It replaces teak oils without their drawbacks, which gum up the substrate and make it blacken over time. Routine care is simply a matter of soap and water. Its field of use covers tropical hardwoods — teak, mahogany, movingui, ipe, bangkirai — on garden furniture, decking, duckboards, gates and boat decks. A marine particularity: it is applied above as well as below the waterline and then creates a key for conventional underwater treatment. It can be used on its own for a matt finish or overcoated with a further finish. Coverage of 8 to 12 m² per litre.
