Description
Water-based gel stripper, which breaks down the coating to be removed rather than dissolving it: paints, woodstains, varnishes and adhesives become water-soluble and are removed by simple rinsing, without scraping. It also acts on stains deep in the wood. The gel does not evaporate and does not dry out in hot weather, and is reactivated by wetting, which allows work to be spread over time. Up to eight coats of paint can be treated in a single application, on alkyd and acrylic coatings. The product leaves a clean substrate offering better adhesion for the new coating. It is used on wood, PVC and metal, with reservations to be aware of: no oak, no sweet chestnut, no Red Cedar, no marquetry, and no aluminium. It does not strip two-pack coatings, stoved paints, fast-drying paints or rubber-based paints. Neutralising with Net-Trol is recommended on absorbent substrates.
