Description
This module handles cost estimating and selling price simulation from the technical criteria, the business rules, the terms of the contract and the history of the parts. It copes just as well with costing a single part as with large files broken down into sections and sub-sections. A part can be created from scratch, generated from a template or derived from an existing part; copying and paste speed up reuse from one file to another. The technical description, the parameters, the routing, the bill of materials and the selling price all sit on the same screen. Every piece of data that affects the cost price stays editable: fixed time, variable time, output rate, type of material, dimensions, waste factor and price. The weight and the area to be painted are given by part, by section and in total. A configurator handles options and variants, with consistency checks and conditional substitution of components.
