Description
Rockciel is a dual-density stone wool insulation board designed for insulating roofs from the outside, using the sarking method. Its installation requires a continuous timber deck: the board is laid on top and then receives the roof covering support, fixed to the rafters with double-threaded coach screws. The higher density of the upper layer improves compressive strength, to the point that the installer can walk on the boards during installation. The insulation is also suitable for timber frame construction, where it meets the requirements for thermal comfort in summer and winter, acoustic comfort, fire performance, behaviour in the presence of water and moisture, and resistance to pests. The stated thermal lag exceeds ten hours. The product is non-combustible, Euroclass A1, and is covered by the Rockcycle recycling service.
