Rockcomble kraft stone wool insulation board

Description

Rockcomble kraft is a single-density stone wool board faced on one side with polyethylene-backed kraft. This facing, which acts as a vapour control layer, reserves the product for the second insulation layer between the rafters of converted loft spaces, installed on the internal side after a first unfaced layer. The board is also used in timber frame construction, where it meets the requirements for thermal comfort in summer and winter, acoustic comfort, fire performance, behaviour in the presence of water and moisture, and resistance to pests. The declared thermal conductivity λ is 0.035 W/(m·K) for a density of 32 kg/m³, with an A+ indoor air emissions rating. Because of the kraft facing, the reaction to fire of the composite is not determined: ROCKWOOL declares NPD on this point. Three thicknesses are listed, 160, 200 and 210 mm, for thermal resistances from 4.55 to 6 m²·K/W.
