Description
Rockspot is a stone wool cover intended to protect recessed light fittings and their electrical transformers when the loft space is insulated. Placed over the housing before blowing or rolling out the insulation, it maintains the air volume required around the fitting and prevents the insulation from coming into direct contact with the heat source. The product complies with DTU 45.11, which governs loft insulation by blown loose-fill. It is used both with blown stone wool and with rolls. Two product codes are available in the catalogue. As stone wool is non-combustible, the cover keeps its integrity if the light fitting heats up, which makes it a routine check point when a loft insulation job is handed over.
