Hardwood lumber (boules & slabs)
Description
Under its sawn timber heading, Rougier markets square-edged and industrial square-edged lumber cut from tropical hardwoods grown in Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon, under FSC certification. Species handled in large volumes are okoume, sapelli, ayous, tali, okan, padouk (CITES-listed), sipo, iroko and movingui. Kosipo, doussie, moabi, bosse, iatandza, frake, assamela (also subject to CITES) and beli round out the offer. Specifications follow the target market: multiple or fixed widths and lengths, standard or special thicknesses, and FAS, Standard & better or Merchantable grades. Boards ship either kiln-dried (KD) or green (AD). The producer's drying facilities allow it to supply okoume, ayous, sapelli, sipo and African mahogany, among others, as dry timber in steady volumes. No standard dimensions are published for this sawn timber.
