Orders are taken either by entering catalogue items directly or by carrying over all or part of an accepted quotation. Stock, allocations and traceability are displayed as the order is entered. Pricing can be set by customer or customer group, by product family, by order quantity and by period, and every document attached to the order stays available. Several levels of control are available, from contract management through to the credit limit check, which calls for password approval once the limit is exceeded. Delivery and invoicing addresses are entered separately, the invoiced customer being allowed to differ from the one placing the order. Deposits, invoicing terms, due dates and staged payment plans are all supported. Time and materials work, ordered without a quotation, is tracked in production and then invoiced from the labour and material costs, with quantities and prices still open to adjustment.
