Glulam & glued solid timber
Description
Glulam beam made in Switzerland from 40 mm laminations in fir and spruce, other species remaining available on request. The product is offered in strength classes GL24h and GL28h, with design values to EN 14080:2013 and SIA 265. Two qualities are available: N, normal, for exposed buildings, and I, industrial, for works with no aesthetic requirement. Heights run from 120 to 1 000 mm in 40 mm steps, heights above 1 000 mm being handled as specials; widths run from 100 to 280 mm in 20 mm steps, beyond that by block bonding; standard lengths cover 4.00 to 18.00 m, special lengths starting beyond 18.00 m. A turned round column version is produced per list. Surface planed on four faces with chamfer, moisture content 12% ± 2%, type I polyurethane bonding to EN 15425, free of solvent and formaldehyde, with a colourless, water-resistant glue line.
