Glulam & glued solid timber
Description
Engineered solid timber beam made up of several glued C24 laminations, produced in Swiss fir and spruce. On LAM beams, the thickness and the direction of the laminations — vertical or horizontal — are set by production; within a given batch, all the joints run the same way. The Rigi RBS version is assembled from two to four laminations, exclusively vertical, which makes it suited to exposed floor joists and rafters. Two qualities are offered: N, normal, for exposed construction, and I, industrial, for works with no aesthetic requirement. Heights cover 100 to 280 mm in 20 mm steps, widths 80 to 160 mm in 20 mm steps for the LAM and 40 mm for the RBS, for lengths from 4.00 to 18.00 m. Surface planed on four faces with chamfer, moisture content 12% ± 2%, type I polyurethane bonding to EN 15425, free of solvent and formaldehyde and water-resistant.
