Glulam & glued solid timber
Description
Glued stud designed as an upright and as a sole plate in prefabricated timber frame construction. It is produced from a mix of spruce, fir, pine, larch and Douglas fir, in strength class C24, in quality I — industrial — only, intended for works with no aesthetic requirement. As on the LAM beams, the thickness and the orientation of the laminations are a matter for production, the glue lines being either vertical or horizontal. The width is fixed at 60 mm; heights run from 80 to 280 mm and the standard length is 13.00 m, other lengths being supplied on request. The surface is planed on four faces with chamfer, unplaned areas being expressly allowed. Moisture content 15% ± 3%, C24 design values to EN 14080:2013 and SIA 265, type I polyurethane bonding to EN 15425, free of solvent and formaldehyde, with a colourless, water-resistant glue line.
