The KNAPP® SUPER-CUT cutting screw is designed specifically for the efficient fixing of KNAPP® connectors and for use in timber engineering. Thanks to its reinforced collar head, its innovative cutting notch and its extra-sharp centring point, it allows faster, more accurate and splitting-free assembly with optimised performance from the very first screw. The cutting notch, positioned just behind the point, reduces driving resistance by up to 50 % compared with conventional screws – depending on the timber species (structural hardwoods or softwoods). The result: smoother assembly, less effort for the user and a reduced risk of splitting or breakout. The extra-sharp point bites into the timber immediately and prevents any sideways drift. The screw can therefore be positioned and centred with great accuracy, guaranteeing: - a clean, attractive alignment, - splitting-free screwing, - a fixing that does not split the timber, - reduced edge and spacing distances.
