TRIBOS mechanical shrink-fit chucks LEUCO equip CNC machining centres with an automatic tool changer. Applications intended by the manufacturer: the high-precision clamping of tools with cylindrical shanks. Design details given by the manufacturer: max. speed = 40,000 rpm. Benefits claimed in use: the minimal weight spares the spindle bearings, usable at high rotation speeds, optimal chip extraction thanks to the slim construction, and the perfect balancing and concentricity precision (< 0.003 mm), which are reproducible, make the process safe and bring long tool life and outstanding cut quality. The article group brings together 6 versions: diameter from 19 to 35 mm and overall length from 100 to 127 mm. Conditions of use specified by LEUCO: right-hand and left-hand rotation, other dimensions on request, and maximum overhang length: 4xd1.
