UniTec CM DP veneer hoggers for s-System LEUCO Ø 160 mm and finds its place on double-end tenoners. Its field of use covers sizing veneers without breakout. Construction features stated: a DP cutting edge, a 4 mm sharpening zone, n max = 6,000 rpm, and HS Z=2+2 knives for hogging the veneer overhang. Stated strong points: improved chip removal through extraction built into the tool (ChipMeister), shorter cleaning times, very good quality in veneer thanks to a split cut, and excellent edge life from an innovative tooth form. The range comes in 2 versions: outside diameter of 250 mm, bore of 60 mm, cutting width of 34 mm and 48 teeth. Cutting material: polycrystalline diamond (DP). Conditions of use given by LEUCO: also for machining thin panels 8 mm thick, suited to scoring/hogging (RZ) and to double hogging (DZ), and direction of rotation to VDMA 8849.
