Description
Western Red Cedar, or Red Cedar, is a North American softwood that Guillemette & Cie imports from the United States and Canada. The manufacturer recommends it for exterior joinery, cladding, panelling and fit-out, applications that place it on the building envelope as much as in interior fitting. It is supplied as sawn timber cut to order, each order being prepared to the expected sections. The timbers are selected from sustainably managed forests, the company drawing on long-standing forestry partners in the boreal regions. FSC or PEFC certification holds only for batches identified as certified: it is confirmed product by product at the time of order and is not generalised to the whole range.
