Description
The CNC Stylus is a tool holder that turns a SmartBench CNC machine into a large-format plotter or a vinyl cutter. Its four-part machined aluminium body applies constant pressure on the tool for consistent plotting or cutting. Holding is by an ER25 collet, which allows off-the-shelf markers, pens and blades to be used without a dedicated tool. When cutting, it handles rigid, self-adhesive or heat-transfer vinyl; when plotting, it draws on any reasonably flat substrate. The 43 mm collar also allows it to be fitted to other CNC machines that accept this mounting diameter. It is supplied with a cutting cartridge, a 30/45/60° blade set, ER25 collets from 7 to 16 mm, markers and a blade-setting jig. Tools of a smaller diameter call for the matching ER25 collet.
