HW insert shank tool body, Z=1+1, 2+2 direction of rotation L+R is designed for use on CNC machines. Its field of application covers facing, rebating and grooving in solid wood and wood-based materials and trimming and milling circular cut-outs. Stated design features: straight cuts, with end relief, right-hand or left-hand rotation depending on how the reversible insert is fitted, to be defined by the customer, cutting material: HW HL Board 05, and by moving the Z axis and changing the direction of rotation, the lower part of the cutting edge can be used in left-hand rotation; this option avoids a tool change when pre-machining the corners exposed to breakout. The series comprises 2 versions: outside diameter from 18 to 40 mm, shank of 25 mm, overall length from 132 to 158 mm and number of teeth from 1 to 2. Cutting material: carbide (HW). Points to watch flagged by the manufacturer: the workpiece is clamped on blocks, clamping: ps-System, TRIBOS, collet chuck, and with stop screw.
