A 5-star hotel in Greece with Accoya joinery

On the island of Paros, the gateway to the Cyclades, the 5-star Parilio hotel made Accoya wood the material of all its joinery: 250 pieces for the interior and exterior doors and windows of its 33 suites. Faced with the proximity of the sea and constant exposure to the sun, Accoya was the clear choice for its 50-year guaranteed durability, its dimensional stability and its reduced maintenance. The original building, a 55-room hotel of the 1980s, was completely renovated between January and July 2019: suites, reception, restaurant, pool and spa. The approved manufacturer Kritikos Wood, established on Paros and in Athens for three generations, made and installed the brushed joinery in just two months. The Athens studio Interior Design Laboratorium echoed the white Cycladic architecture with a calming palette of white, grey, ochre and ivory.
