A large-format door reinvented in Accoya in Liverpool

This home rethinks contemporary living through a calm, carefully designed environment that celebrates the connection with nature. The architecture revisits the traditional gabled house in a resolutely contemporary interpretation: a double-pitched roof, a monolithic brick facade and wide asymmetric windows. The centrepiece of the project is a large Accoya sliding door (10 metres wide and 3.2 metres high) spanning the full width of the building, creating a seamless continuity between inside and out. The project also includes a side glazed door, four casement windows and a fixed light. The elements were pre-painted in the factory.
