Accoya decking for two natural pools near Biarritz

Near Biarritz, on the Atlantic coast between the Landes and the Basque Country, The Natural Pool Company built the Accoya timber decks surrounding the natural pools of two villas. The first pool, with a preformed ceramic carbon shell, is ringed by 120 m² of finished 25×190 mm boards; the second has 240 m² of 20×145 mm boards, laid over existing tiling on 75 mm joists. Free of preservative treatment and of toxicity, Accoya is ideal for natural pools: nothing can leach into the water or the soil. Rated conferred durability class 1 by FCBA and guaranteed for 25 years close to the ground, it stays stable even in wide boards, smooth underfoot and free of splinters. Gaius Terra & Aqua used B-fix concealed fixings, on boards profiled in the workshop and supplied by Peltier Bois.
