Accoya facade and deck for a villa in the Vaucluse

For the renovation and extension of a 300 m² villa in the heart of the Vaucluse, Accoya modified wood was chosen for both the cladding and the deck. The timber extension is linked to the original building by a panoramic terrace opening onto the surrounding forest; the two volumes are clad in open-jointed vertical boards of the same profile, creating visual continuity between the three units. The work was carried out by Natural Casa, a timber construction specialist, with profiled boards made by Norsilk and fixed with the Novlek Clip Hardwood: screwing at 45° makes the screws invisible and the deck pleasant underfoot. A durability class 1 timber, FCBA certified and free of toxic products, Accoya is guaranteed 25 years in ground contact and 50 years above it. A year and a half after installation, the 20 x 145 mm boards show neither distortion nor cupping, and the greying of the cladding and the deck remains perfectly uniform, with no maintenance at all.
