Accoya pool surround for a private home in Puglia

In Puglia, in southern Italy, a private home chose Accoya wood for its pool surround and decking boards. The region is famous for the Trulli of Alberobello, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that draws many visitors each year. Supplied by the Italian distributor Kobel, the decking was given an original surface treatment: the boards were wire-brushed to create a worn, textured finish with a weathered character, before being installed around the pool. This brushed texture brings out the grain of the wood while providing a pleasant non-slip surface.
