Amanyara Resort Beach Hut, Turks and Caicos

This custom beach hut was built on the north-west coast of Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, on the shoreline within the Amanyara resort. It is the first structure of its kind added to the destination.

The exterior cladding is Kebony Clear. The modified wood was chosen for its performance in a tropical climate, where the building faces high humidity, intense sunlight, salt spray and severe weather events. Impregnation with a bio-based liquid gives the softwood rot resistance and stability that limit movement under those conditions.

The material weathers naturally to a silver-grey tone, consistent with the beach setting and with the resort's approach to landscape integration. The hut was built by Custom Beach.
