An Accoya sauna boat

Since 2019, Saunaboot GmbH has offered floating wellness experiences on Swiss lakes with its Accoya sauna boats. “Berti”, the first sauna boat in Switzerland, launched in 2019 on Lake Lucerne, appeals through a deliberately simple design that brings out the natural beauty of the wood. Following that success, “Alice” followed in 2021 on Lake Zurich, with a unique finish in Accoya Color Grey, coloured right through. The Accoya, supplied by Herzog-Elmiger AG, was chosen for its exceptional resistance to water and rot: it keeps its shape even in permanent contact with moisture, an ideal asset for boatbuilding. Certified FSC and Cradle to Cradle, the wood guarantees reduced maintenance and durable finishes. These floating oases of relaxation combine sustainability, longevity and good looks.
