Bungalow transformed into an architect-designed house

Complete transformation of a 1960s bungalow in Wirral, United Kingdom, into a contemporary house designed with Bromilow Architects. The project, featured on the television programme Grand Designs in 2016, replaces the old roof with a modern cantilevered timber volume and creates a five-bedroom home. Accoya wood was used for the cladding and the outdoor areas to ensure durability, stability and a natural look. In 2025, an Accoya Color Grey deck was added, completing the evolution of this modern, sustainable house.
