Detached house in Vigo

In this home in Vigo, designed by the practice Ansede Quintáns, the emphasis was placed on the ceilings with solid chestnut beams. The beams serve a double purpose, structural and decorative: they define the spaces, act as integrating elements between floor and ceiling and create harmony. They are able to generate a variety of atmospheres — contemporary, rustic, industrial — with a clean design, and here they sit very harmoniously alongside the stone. Bringing wood into the bathroom also creates a relaxing space, combined with neutral tones for timeless, minimalist settings.
