SIERO LAM

Siero Lam is a Spanish manufacturer of solid and glued laminated wood products, specializing in chestnut. Based in Argüelles, in Asturias (Spain), the company SIERO LAM, S.A. was founded in 1995 for the manufacture and distribution of secondary processed products: glued and profiled solid wood. It belongs to Grupo Siero, a family business presented as the fourth generation of an activity of more than eighty years in the timber sector, alongside Maderas Siero, S.A. (founded in 1970), which handles silviculture, sawing, drying and primary processing. The core business of the company is chestnut, a species for which the group presents itself as the largest supplier in the world. Backed by its own certified forests, the group controls the entire chain, from logging to the finished product, in a logic of vertical integration. The range includes solid sawn beams marked CE, sawn timber and slabs, laminated scantlings, glued laminated beams, panels (finger-jointed, laminated, worktops), parquet flooring, cladding, screens, wall paneling, decking, stakes, as well as pellets and firewood. In addition to chestnut, the company also works with oak, acacia, ash, beech, iroko, sapelli and pine. The activity is part of a circular economy approach based on sustainable forest management certified FSC and PEFC. The group recovers its by-products as biomass and pellets and belongs to several professional organizations, including AEIM, UNEMADERA and the Ecco Cluster.
