SIERO LAM

Siero Lam is a Spanish manufacturer of solid wood and glued laminated timber products, specializing in chestnut. Based in Argüelles, in Asturias (Spain), the company SIERO LAM, S.A. was founded in 1995 to manufacture and distribute secondary processing products: glued and profiled solid wood. It belongs to Grupo Siero, a family business presented as the fourth generation of an activity spanning more than eighty years in the timber sector, alongside Maderas Siero, S.A. (founded in 1970), which is responsible for silviculture, sawing, drying and primary processing. The company’s core business is chestnut, a species for which the group presents itself as the world’s largest supplier. Backed by its own certified forests, the group controls the entire chain, from logging to the finished product, following a vertical integration approach. The range includes solid sawn beams (CE marked), sawn timber and boards, laminated squared timber, glued laminated beams, panels (finger-jointed, laminated, worktops), parquet flooring, cladding, screens, paneling, decking, stakes, as well as pellets and firewood. In addition to chestnut, the company also works with oak, acacia, ash, beech, iroko, sapele and pine. The activity is part of a circular economy approach based on sustainable forest management certified by FSC and PEFC. The group recovers its by-products into biomass and pellets and is a member of several professional organizations, including AEIM, UNEMADERA and the Ecco Cluster.
